Pseudo-biographical, by work field

Berliner jayrope was born at 321 ppm as a kid of two pipe organ players. For constant listening this meant J.S.Bach, Olivier Messiaen and tons of classic, modal and free jazz as well as early electronic music. Classical piano & opera singing training from age 4/6-14, followed by classical guitar training. Two years of composition teaching with Martin Daske in early 20s. No further academic education, all of this was dropped in favor of learning by ear, hands and algorhythms, from “anything sounding”, and being a music worker.

Current work: Live electronics, improvisation, composition. As well as sound design + audio engineering, production, musical direction/supervision, often for contemporary etc. dance and partly jazz-related live constellations.
